One of my favorite Ninja commands is „Knuddlebär“… you could probably translate it to „Cuddle Bear!“ He’d lay on his back, paws in the air and wait for belly scratches.
The past weeks been pretty good to us. I spent a lot of time with Ninja alone. I know people say „dogs can’t be thankful!“ but I like to disagree. He does appreciate being at the center of my attention and values attention a lot more than he does treats.
I was unable to join him for a walk yesterday morning. Just when Ninja was about to be taken for the morning walk and realized that I was not going to join, he came and danced around me. As if, he wanted to ask me to join by showing off his grace and agility.
In the evening, he was so happy that I joined that he hopped around me for some time. Ninja is not a very playful dog, but he played with me. A little game of catch and run… Was so nice to see Ninja happy like this.
Sometimes I take Ninja for granted and these moments make me realize how much luck being able to share my life with Ninja.
Today we made a little rest at the hut. I told Ninja he was free to go and snoop around… he went to the entrance, sniffed outside… to the left, to the front, to the right and chose to lay down next to me.
