It felt like forever… the first long hike of Ninja and me for some time… Hana and Smilla were doing their own thing… and I thought I could, after roughly 2 weeks, make some interesting pictures again.
At first, I wanted to hike through the #lenneberg forest. However, all nice spots have been ruined by the forest workers… thousands of leftover crowns of trees that were thrown on the ground carelessly like thrash… Places that looked beautiful 2 years ago are now fully covered in bramble-bushes.
Boars no longer feel safe in the forest and hide in the bramble-bushes directly at the walk paths… a few dogs got attacked and killed already…
But then I decided to go along the floodplains… there is a clearing directly at the riverside, where I made a lot of the pictures on this feed… Even there trees have been cut down and my favorite spot is no more… A bit frustrated I continued along the riverside and saw this illuminated spot… As if Nature was inviting me to make a picture here. I love the backlight and the framing with the 2 trees… the moss on the trees in front of Ninja… and his gentle face.
Ninja clearly enjoyed this day…. He was super attentive, hardly left my side and it sure cheered me up to see Ninja so full of happiness and will to please. No matter what task I gave him, he wanted to do his best.
In summer Ninja is often a bit reluctant and you need to fire him up to show some energy on pictures… but now that it has become fall he his back to normal. Time for a video it seems.
We enjoyed our time together that my 1 hour walk became a 4 hour hike and we both enjoyed every minute of it.
