Awww … so tempting. Usually I start cheating in a game after I played it through, just to find out how the game is with a maxed out character. But there was this vendor Item I really wanted and I started looking into console commands. For now I have come up with a pretty impressive list of stuff.
PC Version
Using the PC Version of the game you can use the Tilde „^“ to bring up the console. Then you can use the known Oblivion/Fallout codes to increase your stats, gain gold. As I find more or interesting ID’s I will post it here.
Found these ID’s by adapting Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout console commands and a lot of trial and error.
Basically when you look for something use help „name“ 4 and use the result with the following commands. For example if you are interested in Dragonscale Armor you type help „dragonscale“ 4 and get many item/spell id’s which you can use to add these items, spells. The 4 stands for a search filter, if you use „0“ you will get all results.

Since the list of items here is limited I wrote an online application that will let you select nearly all items in the game, convenient via dropdown menu. Check it out!
Amazing, appreciating the effort.
I’ll check back for more.
3ada4 gets dragon bones (also important for crafting)
Hey if you can find out how to set your archery skill that would be awesome because player.setav Archery 100 comes back as not being a valid command.
@Chris
Sure, one thing after another, though 🙂 Going to do Archery next, when I am done with One-Handed
Edit: Archery = marksman!
that is because the skill is called marksman,not archery,derp derp
its because you dont put archery you put marksman player.setav marksman 100 or player.modav marksman 100 or the same with forceav
God Bless you for your wonderful layout and effortless navigation, *kisses face aggressively* ( but in a good way )
you would typ `player.advskill marksman 100 and hit enter and that will work. if you want to adv skill speech it’s speechcraft. I hope this works
thats because archery is actually called Marksman in skyrim. Speech is actually speechcraft as well. problem fixed 🙂
put marksman or marksmen try one of the two like this: player.setav marksman/marksmen 100
its player.setav marksman 100
Try marksman instead 🙂
use marksman instead of archery
its not player.setav archery 100 its player.setav marksman 100
Archery isn’t recognized by the game. You have to use player.setav marksman 100. If it has to do with archery, the game sees it as marksman.
Type player.advskill achery 99099
speech also doesn’t work 🙁 tried trade, persuasion, haggle and a few others. and if any one doesn’t want to write all the perks separately u can use incPCS „skillname“ it only increases by one but u still get levels for it and if u use player.setlevel 1 some times u can get a lot of perk points (takes a lot of spamming) hope it helps and thx in advance.
Speech is Speechcraft to raise it.
ok found it it’s speechcraft and if anyone is planning to use the method above u will need to quick save/load around every 100 points added or the game starts to lag (only once u exit skill menu)
@Seirath
Thanks for the submission, I’ll get to other skills too. Just playing a bit atm!
How do you find out what the perk code is?
@Ninjacola
As mentioned above I use the help function … help „perkname“ 4 or as example help „Power Shot“ 4 and it will return some id’s
Modify Health – player.modav health #
Modify Stamina – player.modav stamina #
Modify Magicka – player.modav magicka #
thanks man
Thanks a lot for your great effort, that’s VERY much appreciated. Very nice site btw.
Thanks for the contributions and feedback!
Thank you so much! Appreciate it!
Why it not work for me i’m typing „player.additem (some item) (the ammount)“
Thank you for your hard work!!! im looking for the testinghall command yet to find it..ive been typing for hours and im yet to find it..ive tried every keyword i can think of..any luck on your end??
@HaVoK142
I tried to use „coc testinghall“ aswell … at first the game seemed to load something but nothing happened. I am sure the next days willshed some light onto this.
@Someone
Be sure to use the hexcode for the item and don’t forget the amount. If the command does not get executed there will be an error message. Sometimes you need to close and reopen game menus to have them „load“. Inventory seems fine, but if you are smithing while you add items for example.
ive found it!!!!! coc qasmoke is the testinghall!!! bout dang time lol
i found it by editing the fallout 3 geck to read the skyrim .ESM it took forever but I got it:)
@HaVoK142
Cool grats!
I have been trying to get the Console to save its output to be able to parse stuff no longer manually, e.g. help „spell tome“ 4 etc, but scof „output.txt“ does not seem to work at all.
skyrims console is weird like that…from what ive seen its almost an exact clone of the fallout console with a few extra bells and whistles…i honestly dont know much about auto parsing at all but i could look into it for you ill do my best to get back to you asap if you would like..
I mean it still has VATS and pip-boy options… you’d think Bethesda would at least take those parts out..some commands from fallout work others don’t…its all trail and error for the time being, that’s what ive been doing non-stop for two days
@HaVoK142
Well, to get the console output to a file means I can easily parse it into something useful. Yesterday I spent half the day typing hex numbers, etc 😀 I wanted to add spell tomes today since psb (populate spell book) also adds a ton of spells that aren’t meant for players (I paralyzed myself testing things out :D) and yeah I did not want to have to manually type all day again, since it is bound to cause errors or miss out stuff.
I agree…ive been looking into it and it seems (even though I haven’t had ample time to fully understand it) skyrim is still using the old fallout output destination..so instead of it dumping into your data or steam folder its trying to get the file path to skyrim as it did in fallout e.g c:/program files(x86)/Bethesda softworks/fallout 3/(destination folder) but instead of trying to find fallout its trying to find skyrim, which doesn’t exists on that file path…
Yeah, kind of funny how the game has so similarities to fallout, had to giggle when I saw the lockpicking … On the other side, I mean Fallout has a few years on its back and how can the UI in general be worse? 😀 It is so horrible to use in some things, sadly. Also the Orcs and Cat Race reminded (from their voices) so much about the zombies in Fallout. And thanks for checking into it, don’t spend too much time on it.
i have nothing better to do lol already beat the main quest…its modding time!! lol funny thing is i thought the same on the orcs…funny Easter egg speaking of fallout if you cut off your music in a cave in oblivion the sound of the air moving is the same as in fallout3, and new Vegas…i think Bethesda has a thing with bringing over sounds to their new games, but yea im going to work on it for you, its the least i could do for the free dragonscale armor your collection here gave me:)… it’d be nice to have a way to pm you or vise versa this comment stuff is getting old quick lol XD
so therefore the file isn’t being made or found..im going to look deeper into this and make sure im right, but this seems to be the likely culprit with my understanding of Bethesda games, (steam is throwing me for a loop on some of this stuff)
Dragonscale is actually not the best armor Daedric armor is. To see the list console „Help Daedric 4″ (without the “ „) again Daedric weapons are also the most powerful, but too evil for my taste, all black and red and sinister. Elven and Ebony armor is much more pretty. There is also a Dwarvish helmet in the game which is gold and looks pretty bad ass. To find it you have to „Help Helmet 4“ and scroll up until you see „Dwarvish Helmet of Water Breathing“ or something along those lines.
Cheers!
This sites great, they finally updated the perks for 2 hand weapons I see, good job!
@Chris
Thanks for the Feedback and Information on Daedric Stuff. I haven’t looked too far into the game yet, spent too much time updating the Site and playing around with stuff. I assumed that the Dragon and Daedric were similar as they were at the same level at the smithing perks. I’ll look into those!
Dragonscale is the best light armor, daedric is the best heavy armor
@Bananas
That is why I listed them both above with Light Armor and Heavy Armor
anything about becoming a vampire/werewolf?
@DA BEAST
Not at the moment, I am still trying to cover the console stuff, but you can check The Elder Scrolls Wiki. They cover how to become a Werewolf, its strength and weaknesses.
more looking at if u can give urself diseases
i suppose u can make werewolves appaer in front of u and then fight them
To become a werewolf, do the quest with the Companions. Find them in Jorvaskr in Whiterun.
As for being a vampire, find some vampires in the wild or in dungeons or whatever. Let them attack a little, and look for the message that says, „You have contracted Sanguine Vampirism,“ or „Sanguine Vampirosis,“ or whatever. Then kill them, and don’t do anything to cure disease like pray to Talos or any of the gods or drink a potion. After a few in-game days, you will be a full fledged Vampire.
If you get tired of being either, e-mail me at loltheif@live.com for cures.
can anyone find out the code for the Mzulft key?,looked everywhere cant find it.or maybe its buged becouse i already have the staff
@wee
401f4 : Mzulft Room Key – 57b66 : Mzulft Observation Key – 5dcb9 : Mzulft Key
Hope that helps!
worked like a charm Ty:D
This is great, thank you! I don’t want to ruin the game by using gold or health cheats, but the stamina and carry weight cheats however.. are perfect. Makes the game so much more fun when I don’t have to port back to a town everytime I kill someone.
Amazingly amazing and helpful info. Thanks a lot!
Thanks a lot fer putting that site up….had been searching around on many sites but it turned out i found my questions answered in here 🙂
@Dizzy, @Anime, @Syn
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you like it!
Best Skyrim i’ve seen so far. Great work.
Hello,
Thanks for the work. Question, any way to increase the amount of gold merchants have? I know you can invest in merchants, but that still is a limit especially when some armor sells for over 2500. Collect half dozen steel plate armor sets and all your merchants are now out of money and you still have tons of crap to sell.
Any ideas?
@captainfish
Not that I know, just stumbled over one of the Master Trader perk which gave each vendor an instant 1000 gold and also the Merchant perk which allows to sell any item to any vendor. I also seem to recall that they restock after 48 hour game time. Sleep for 2 days and they should respawn.
I am also working on the „scof“ command trying to see what I can figure out about it. I did figure out the „bat“ command which has become a great help, if you create a file using notepad such as „test.txt“ inside your Skyrim directory and put console commands on each line and then run
bat „test.txt“
from the console it will run each line in the text file as a seperate console command which is nice if you like to have your carry weight, stamina, move speed all set a specific way each time you start the game and not have to type each command individually.
As far as the scof command goes I am still having no luck so far the things I have tried are;
* Running Skyrim in administrator mode (Windows 7 Ultimate x64)
* supplying the parameter in quotes and not in quotes
* tried specifying a direct location for it scof „C:output.txt“
* creating the file (both in root of drive and the Skyrim folder) to output to before starting the game and setting permissions for „Everyone“ to full control
* using and not using a file type extension (.txt, etc)
I am starting to believe that Bethesda left out the ability for the game to output to a file (similar to the fact that the pipboy commands are still in the help files), and that we may be stuck doing things manually. If anyone else has any idea’s to try I would be more then willing to give them a shot, but I am pretty much out of ideas right now. I am probably going to keep trying to figure something out and if I do you will all be the first to know.
@AlmostEpic
Thanks for the input! I am actually working on a set of bat commands to ease tasks like respecing, etc. I’d love to be able to just parse stuff mysel, like a list of all mged effects, etc.
The Coc rivertown command doesnt work and now i am stuck in the test chamber help 🙁
@Mr.Eddie
I think there is only one valid coc out of there, „coc Riverwood“
@Mr. Eddie
To get out of the Testinghall here is a way. Well two but I only tested one.
Before you port to the hall, open the console and click any random thing (NPC, housewall blabla)
You will then have its ref.ID (i.e. 12345)
Once youre done with the …“testing“ just type the following: player.moveto 12345
and tada, youre out of the hall
Second way is just type the coc for the hall again to leave (uncomfirmed yet)
@Elyon
thanks, but coc Riverwood works, I tested it
player.moveto 12345 working

I’ve encountered a bug that I’m hoping that console commands will help me fix. I have an active effect of:
Conjure Flame Thrall active in my active effects list however I do not have the flame thrall out. I can still summon 2 flame thralls like normal and at that point I have 3 conjure flame thralls in my active effect list. I want to get rid of the remaining bugged conjure flame thrall active effect because some NPC wont talk to me or make very annoying messages when I walk by 🙂
Using the „help“ „flame thrall“ „0“ command i think I’ve located the ID of the status effect: 0007E5D2 but I do not know a command to use to eliminate it from my status effects. Any help would be great because since the thralls are permanent it lists 47k hours until it clears~
@matt
Hmh, not sure how to help there. Have you tried to simply kill it? 😀 Alternative you could try to use a shrine, think they remove and reapply effects, or try to summon other thralls or companions, maybe it will remove the flame ones.If you have god mode active disable that.when you play around with it.
@Myrddin
I would kill it if it was near me but I have no idea if its alive or where it is. I presume it died and its a bug because I can summon 2 thralls right now (max with perk) and when I try to summon more the thralls that I just summoned dissapear and get replaced. However that one active effect persists even if I kill all the thralls myself. I’ve tried shrines to no avail and also I have never put godmode on;;
Can you think of any command to find the ID of personal pets alive so I can player.movetoplayer #### ?
@matt
I am not sure if command lines help you, I cannot recall any at the moment that would. A quick search for „remove“, „kill“, „pet“, „companion“ support this. But when companions get lost it often helps to use quck travel and they stand next to you and my other suggestion to summon different kinds of mobs than the flame thralls could remove that one.
Your Anon masters have deigned to speak with you, Mortal!
We ask of you this: is there any way to reset our perk points so that we may start anew? We tried the „Delperk“ command detailed in your Convenience Pack mod, but that simply removed the perks without returning our perk points.
Anonymous
at first I’d like to note that there is a big message that removing perks will not grant the points, but you can add full perk trees as you like via „bat add-“ and then the skill using the batch files you mentioned.
Sadly there is no convenient way to add „perk points“ at the moment. the only way I have found is through advancing your skill level, which will raise your level, which will then grant perk points. You can set down your level and your skill level and thus get to your old status again or you advance them manually via the id’s on this page.
Have you figured out the marriage system commands the ones on the wiki dont really explain anything well or have any visiable effect in the game as i can tell?
@Ranger
Not yet, worked a while on the drop down Item selector the past days. Had to learn a lot of new stuff to get it running. Going to catch up with what I was missing out tomorrow.
Thats fine with me. thanks for all your effort so far. its been very useful . i dont plan on marrying anyone just yet so when ever you figure it out its fine with me -)
HAs anyone Figured out how to put additional mannequins into the game yet? I’m sure, like many other people would like more then just 1-2 mannequins in their homes?
And how about additional wall mounted weapon „plaques“? Or more floor mount weapon racks for that matter…?
Wonderful! Great work, thank you very much.
Any chance you know how to just add perk points that you can distribute at a later time? I’d rather use those than have to enter specific perks or a full tree.
@Antaeus 00
Sadly noone has that, yet as far as I know. Can only suggest to use the „convenience pack“ to add remove many perks at a time.
any have the issue of i finding or doing a quest or item out of order before you have the quest and it not completing. cause i have pantea flute found it while exploring now i have the quest to find it but i cant turn it in to the person…same with the quest to find the quill of something of such..because i killed the guy instead of doing mavens quest …any help? or anyone know how i can complete these 2 quest though console commands?
thanks
@Ranger
Hello, try to do a search like help „questname“ 0, this should give you an id. Then try „CompleteQuest [ID]“.
umm no go on that, tried found the only id i could for the quest and no go on the completequest {id}, and i cant even get rid of the items cause they say cant drop quest items!!! =(
anything else you can think of?
@Ranger
Hmh, not really … maybe DropObject [object-id]? I am just fishing 😀
just happend for another quest..seems to only happen for the miisc. quests. now i have the 5/5 help solitude to be promoted to thane stuck..i recieved the promotion and such but its just stuck their with out me able to remove it.
Thanks it was really useful!!
im still not having any luck on the output….i think its a lost cause….its one of those many commands in the console that worrked on fallout and doesnt on skyrim..sorry for the bad news
@HaVoK142
Thanks for trying, suppose it may be bugged. Meanwhile other means (tools and dumps) have appeared though!
Might want to set the skill levels to 99 instead of 100 so you can get the achievements…lol
Fantastic site for tweaking the Skyrim experience… the best!
I’m currently hoping to create my small console batch files that I can invoke from my programmable keyboard to circumvent Skyrim’s ultra-dumb system of having only 8 shortcuts in a game featuring thousands of items & spells.
I have figured out how to automatically equip items with commands like „player.equipitem “ and it works, but to equip spells a command like „player.equipspell “ will fail because the command requires an additional argument called „Casting Source“ and I have no idea what to feed it. (I have tried a few dozen values to no avail)
I assume the casting source argument that it is requiring is to tell it whether the spell should be cast from the left hand or the right hand… I have scoured through the help system and online to find what to feed that command for „Casting Source“.
Has anyone had any luck using player.equipspell?
Many thanks and keep up the great work!!
Jean-Pierre
Hi guys, for those of you who read the above message, the answer to what are possible for „Casting Source“ is actually dead simple!
Just use ‚left‘ or ‚right‘ and it will do the trick!
Have fun creating your own batch files to equip the spells and items you like! With this and a programmable keyboard you can have any programmable key setup what is in either hand with perfect precision!
🙂
Great site, thanks for everything.
Does anybody knows if there is a way to delete a shout? I cheated to get all the shouts and this seems to cause a bug on the progress of the game.
Thanks!
@Sid
Where exactly are you stuck? I just went to the greybeards and the empowered version of my shouts was too strong for the game to register, however if you only tap the shout key the small version will be cast and thus complete the step of that quest.
@Myrddin
Hi, thanks for your answer. fixed.
anyone know the enchant code for the ebony mail enchantment? (Boethia quest)
@wee
would help if you provide the armor id 😀 but I found it anyhow.
81182 : Ebony Mail Enchant
going to add it next batch of publishing
thanks:) it doesent work like the armor tho.. you`re covered in black all the time
@wee
Well, can’t help with that. I can just give you the MGEF ID it is using 🙂
Can I have Noctornal’s cloth? player.additem 88952 is doesn’t work…:(
@namping
Weird enough player.additem 88952 1 does not return an aroor, but the item does not appear in inventory.
Hey once again this site is the best. I am having some difficulty with the decipitation command. I set the chance to 100 and the kill move random to 100 but I get no results. actually I did get the results i wanted one time but after I tried doing the same thing there was no luck. Any suggestions? Thanks
@Loose Cannon 52
Hmh, maybe you set the values too high?
Could you find the ID for ebony mail WITHOUT the enchant? I desire the model without the poison. thank you
You can find all Armor IDs here.
If it is a quest reward then it is most likely enchanted.
I have two questions. What is the casting source for powers and shouts (because cast f8208 causes a werewolf to stick out of peoples arms)? And how do I get npcs to fight? I am used to FO3 and NV where i can just change an npc’s faction to make npcs fight, but that doesn’t seem to work for skyrim.
I tried to get somone in whiterun to turn into a werwolf and fight everyone with cast f8208 „refid“ right. Then I removefromallfactions and add to banditfaction but nodice people just walk around the werewolf that says things like „what do you want“. Btw that was id for beast form spell.
Do u have a command which changes the players magic casting speed?
Right now you only have the weapon swinging speed.
If you know the command for magic casting speed, can you please tell me?
Thank you very much
Hey … do you no how to become a dragon ?
REPLY
This may be interesting for you. It seems you need a mod to do it.

perks, weapons, items. all good. btw. having great fun with your stuff mate.

@Anthrax
Just use „player.teachword 60291„, the colon is to seperate descriptions, in this case the actual sound of the shout. Don’t forget to activate the shouts using dragonsouls btw.
Thanks for the feedback, always welcome.
it so cool
Is there a code for Dragon Scales and Dragon Bones?
@Dan
You can find the codes here. Kist a quick and friendly tip, if there is a page with lots of information, like this one, try to use the browser search function. Edit – Search, or ctrl+f to bring up the find menu.
Can I place a light source via console ?
I notice that if I spawn a candle the light si ridicoulous, so I wish to add some light to it..
I gues light should have an ID too..
you forgot a code: psb (at least i think i got that right, its soposed to give you all spells and shouts
@dovahmaster
Thanks for the hint, the list is from the initial launch of the game. Many things that have been added since aren’t included.
Bacana, gostei muito das suas dicas 🙂
@Diego
Eu estou contente que você gosta deles!
My character no longer animates when he attacks – can this be due to console command usage?
@Ggroth
The game wasn’t meant for silly amount of stats and I sometimes see people overdoing stuff. You can try to take everything off and then setting the stats to like 10… use a different savegame to test it, and then put on items 1 by 1 … and then you can start raising your attributes again. Once you found out where the problem lies you can change the original savegame. Best of luck 🙂
Using this command will unlock every spell, even those used to test Skyrim, this may cause bugs so you should backup the game before using this.
