Castle Waldthausen is one of my favorite spots to hike to.

It lies in the middle of our beautiful lenneberg forest.
It is now a recreation area and educational center.
At the weekends it is pretty much deserted though. .
To the side is a separate park area, where we usually don’t disturb anyone.
It is fun to see Ninja (and friends) dash and jump around like crazy 😊

@freyaeverafter_ My home area has tons of castle ruins and some well restored ones, too… they are all located at the French/German Border… we even have a robber barons castle… he had an imperial ban and anathema for robbing the rich french close by.
