Today we are going to have a nice hike in the snow… Sadly the weather is not good enough to make nice pictures.
My camera seems to struggle in the snow and prefers to focus on snowflakes rather than Ninja.
The solution I have found is to use the smallest focus point and put that on the eye of the dog.
The chances to get a proper focus are a lot higher.
.
Ninja seems to prefer to snuggle in the evenings at the moment, which I like a lot 😊😊
Yesterday he fell asleep in my arms, which he usually does not do. I loved every moment of it 😊
.
Also Hadez seems to enjoy cuddles more and more and it is weird to see Ninja showing teeth to Hadez, claiming me for him.
Maybe there are eventually things I can do well 🤪
.
So weird, as I started typing it was snowing hard, now the sun seems to come out… Maybe it will get nice after all.

Hope You are having a good day. If you follow our live videos you know that Ninja loves to be outside, even if it is just to observe passerbys. It is very stormy today though…
Powerful gusts of wind whip around the house and knock down tables and chairs.
So we had all dogs at the door begging to come in. Even Hadez wanted to get inside, as he is the one that would not mind to stay outside forever.
Ninja however wants to be close to me. In summer I do not mind to stay outside to make it easier for him to be outside and have me in sight, but right now I prefer to sit in front of the fireplace with a hot coffee in hand… Well actually hot foamed milk with a drop of coffee 😂

This the face I got from Ninja when asking for an unexpected break. „What is going on?“-face

It is the time I needed to recover from some issues we are facing, wishing I could talk about in public.
It is as it is and we are going to make the best of it. There are no problems with Ninja and I am also healthy… As You may know we are trying to make a living of this and it is not so easy as I thought it would be. Mostly legal issues, authorities annoyances and the likes.
These things suck all energy out of me and demotivate me a lot. Which is weird, because it would be in the benefit of everyone if they did not always roll obstacles in the way.
.
So I took some time of to tank energy and to think about solutions and get the obstacles out of my way.
.
Enough of that though… We have a beautiful day, and a bit of snow… I hope you like the moody Forest picture of the one that is always there for me, Ninja ❤️

For most people, meeting friends, going to town or having fun in the snow is no problem at all…
For me however these things are actually extremely exhausting… not physically, but mentally and I usually need a couple of days – as I did now – to gather myself.
Then I need to be alone and for myself. Even contact from people I like is very difficult to bear.
Sometimes I binge watch a TV-Series or play a game extensively for a couple of days and then – slowly – things become better.
Most people I know do not understand these things, think I do not like them anymore or I set them aside… but it is not that.
It is just the package I have to carry.
.
Ninja is the only one I let close during these days. He is always there for me and does not expect anything in return ❤️ This make it a lot easier to get back to normal.
.
I do not need anyone’s pity… Just want to explain why I sometimes can’t ( even though I want to ) post, answer comments and messages… and then I come back and catch up with things… Which I am doing now.

So… Yesterday did not really go as expected and I can still not talk about it …

So… Yesterday did not really go as expected and I can still not talk about it in public.
My case is now in the hands of people who do not know what Instagram is, what it means to have followers 🤪
So I have to provide a lot more stuff and in 4 weeks it will go on…
.
Well… 3 years ago I sold my first commercial license… this picture, to a dog food company… So I decided to repost it for today’s throwback Thursday..
They also bought other pictures and invited me to a shooting in northern Germany. This was quite the experience.
.
This is only a fraction of the picture, again I’ll post the full picture as a story.

Oh, totally forgot… I also had another important appointment on Monday, and that went insanely well. I was able to describe my plans in detail and got a lot of support.
I also got to meet my friends in Heidesheim again which was really nice and we had a good time. Thank You ❤️

Tomorrow on Wednesday, I need all Your support… Can’t go into details, yet. But it is an extremely important day for us.

Just think about Ninja and me, cross your fingers for us or wish us luck 😊 That would be very much appreciated ❤️

Today we had a good morning. Beginning the way with our packwalk and afterwards a long and extended breakfast.
.
Just returned from it and we are about to get to the afternoon packwalk right after.
.
Being busy is very good as it keeps my mind from thinking about tomorrow. I am very good at overthinking things and am very happy for any distraction at the moment.
.
This picture has been taken at castle Waldthausen, close to where I live… I wanted to make new pictures here, but the weather is not good enough. Bummer.
I have added a landscape version of this picture as a story. Sadly, in this IG-Crop, you can’t see much of the castle.
There is Ninja and the 2 stairs are guarded by 2 stags. It always, especially with snow, has this Game of Thrones vibe. Can’t wait for Winds of Winter and Dream of Spring… until then the show will have to suffice 😂

Today I had an important appointment that I dreaded for quite some time…
Basically a lot about my future depends on the outcome and thus also the future of this channel.
During the interview I was unable to judge how it was going… We happened to talk about Ninja and how much good he does… That I love to make pictures of him… and all of a sudden the mood changed. The pictures and videos – and my affection – made the person happy and suddenly voiced support for my ideas and future. Once again Ninja was there for me, even without him being there ❤️
.
Ninja brought so much good into my life ❤️
.
I am so totally exhausted now but here is a nice picture for You 😊

Today I edited like 20 pictures that were similar to this one… Got to love the well insulated coat of Northern Breeds.
.
Ninjas coat consists of 2 layers. The top coat consists of long, straight, thick, banded guard hair.
It repels dirt and water, protects from UV rays.
Ninjas top coat is wolf grey which means each single hair consists of 3 colors; white, grey and black.
.
In winter Ninja has a thick layer consisting of a soft cream colored undercoat. Tiny gaps between the hair insulate temperature extremely well, similar to a pullover.
Body heat will stay below this layer and protect from the cold. Less insulated single coat dogs would be unable to trap body heat and the snow would melt…
.
Snow on top of Ninjas coat is one of my favorite motives…

Thank You very much for all Your support Yesterday. The post was an attempt at trying to reason why the training is such an important part of our life and why I love to show off what we have achieved.

I am totally blown away by Your understanding and support. I have read each comment and did not dare to comment myself.
Thank You also for the many direct messages on the topic.
.
Maybe some of the negative thoughts realize that it is not about having an animal work like a machine or dancing in a circus. It is about bonding.
.
Anyway here is a Ninja throwing his legs forward in joy… One of my favorite poses, because I understand that he does this only when he is truly happy.

Ninja goofing around Episode 3

Wanted to make a with all commands Ninja knows… it must be like 40… so it turned out to be somewhat boring.

Then I recorded this new video and struggled for 2 hours to get that weird green tint from Ninjas forehead… until I lost patience and simply slapped a standard free GoPro LUT ( color filter for videos ).

I still like the video, love how willing Ninja follows these commands 😊

About one scene you are going to wonder… I taught Ninja to show his teeth and go forward when you blow in his face 😁😁
He is not ever going to bite… but the faces are priceless when people ask „He is soooooo cute! What else can he do?“ „Oh try to blow in his face!“ 😁😁

Again this is just a visual thing… so no worries 😊
