Yesterday we have been hiking at the Schluchsee in the Black Forest… even though the Schluchsee is a well known recreation area we hardly met anyone…
Possibly due to the clouds that crept up slowly from the valleys through the trees and covered the sun. A beautiful eerie November mood.
Thick forests of huge firs, moss covered ground and rocks gave us a chill and everything was damp.
One could think that the weather sucked, but it really was beautiful in it’s own way. I mean the weather does not care how we feel and instead of being annoyed I try to find the beauty within… It will stay the same weather, but all in all it is much easier to deal with it.
.
I think I am still in the mood as I edit this picture of Ninja who stood in a polter of wood that is shaped like a house.
Don’t try to see the dark in this picture, I just love the structure of the wood and a totally focused Ninja looking at me… He is so amazing

This is how I imagine Ninja to sound after a visit at the vet dentist. These are always the things that appear in my mind when I look at some pictures.
I found the little tongue out so cute – usually I delete these pictures as I could already fill an account with „tongue out“-pictures for eternity.
But this tiny bit of tongue I found really cute…
.
I need to do something about Ninja’s teeth… he has some minor plaque problems since a few weeks… there is a paste that helped my previous husky to soften it up and brush it away.
Bones alone won’tdo the trick atm… 😐 What do You do to keep the teeth of your dog clean?

Do not forget to check out the last picture, which is not a picture at all… but a timelapse of my edit for these pictures where I show the post processing by editing 10 pictures ( deleted 200 ). 45 Minutes in 90 seconds
.
Yeah… the rotation… there does not seem to be a better way to handle this atm if you do not want it stamp sized ^^ … so turn your smartphone and enjoy.
.
Is there a picture you like most? To me, this was the one I preferred… the other ones usually land in the trash 😐

This is another capture from last week’s hike in Austria’s beautiful Silbertal.
We were almost alone as the summer wanderers left the area. On a 5 hour hike we met only a lonely hunter who passed us in a car.
The morning the sun gave us beautiful lights and deep shadows and you all know how I like the theme… I think it took us a few hours to reach the waterfall, because I stopped at each tree to take pictures….many pictures… from the left, from the right, from the top, and the bottom, a bit slanted… 😂 and my super patient model Ninja was there to help…
Often I am surprised how patient he stands on a spot and waits for me… sometimes 10 or 15 minutes… in a unknown forest with lots of game around… can’t believe how far we have come over the years.
We started this like every dog owner… a few breathtaking seconds without leash in a quiet corner of the forest with no bushes… but step by step, day by day this got extended…
I am so proud of him ❤

I love how fast Ninja’s facial expressions change… every picture is 1/10th of a second apart.
It make the process of capturing the perfect face a bit challenging, but also shows parts of his character. The first picture would fall under „serious face“ while it then changes to happy.
Also, if you take these pictures out of context, You can tell a totally different story.
I think, Ninja was only focused on taking the right steps in the first picture, as he walked carefully and then realized he was on top of the slope and continued happily onward.

My favorite is the first picture, because he has such a proud posture… he makes himself really tall and you can see the cheeky thoughts forming in his head…
… and the third one is just like having him in front 😊😊

98.8% of the time (Yes, I did calculate) I have Ninja at my side. Not only are activities without my dog not fun to me but I spend like 50% of the time missing him. .
A few years ago I went on a shopping trip and got invited to dinner afterwards, Thank You Hilde 😚 I think it was the first time I let Ninja alone for longer than 2 hours. In the morning we had met a cute young female in heat and Ninja was riled up all day. He nagged me to go outside but I refused 😁
.
So I left Ninja alone and as time passed I grew weary, wondered if everything was all right but figured he could do a few hours without me 😁
As the evening passed I suddenly had the urge to go back immediately to check up on him.
.
When I arrived home I saw the fire brigade, police and emergency vehicles right outside the house with about 10 people trying to storm the apartment 😂
.
„Excuse me please, what is going on here?“ „We are looking for Michael, he is not answering the door and the dog is howling. Something might have happened to him as the dog never howled before!“ „Ohh that is really nice of you to look after Michael, but I am Michael and I can assure you I am ok.“
.
Everything was allright, I did not have to pay any bills and it is kind of assuring that the neighbours are looking out for me 🙂 Did anything similar happen to You?
.
SInce that day I always feel uneasy when I leave the house and was looking for a solution when I saw the Furbo Dog Camera and received this free sample. .
The whole camera arrived well packed and made a good haptical impression. It is not too light and thus difficult to knock over. Basically everything is just plug and play… attach the power, download the Furbo app (Apple/Android) and follow the instructions. I love the 2 way communication, which means I can hear and talk to Ninja. There is also a night vision mode, the possibility to give treats and barking alert.
It is nice to be able to quickly look at home when you are worried, just to see your dog sleeping comfortably.
This Black Friday Furbo will be available for only 139€, 60€ off the list price.

On the r̶o̶a̶d̶ rail again… 🐺🚉
.
Seems as if these days are for moody edits… sometimes there are these phases where you just have to try things out to see if they work or not and try to analyze exactly what it is that I like/dislike about it and then try to see if it can adapt it to „my style“
As comparison I added my usual edit as a second picture… you just need to swipe 👆↔
.
The picture has been taken – oh surprise 😁😁 – on a train station in Germany… maybe someone can guess where⁉
The train from here passes through Mainz, which is where I was headed 😊 I know that is not much help… from Basel to Heide there are trains passing Mainz… Who knows, maybe someone has a lucky guess or impressive memory 😁

This weekend our friends Luca and Silas from @lovewolfcommunity_ and @dogs.media visited us for the second time.
.
Apart from being great guys it is always fun to talk with them about Instagram. I am really thorough with my research, which makes it is difficult to find people to theorize with…
I enjoyed the exchange very much and know where I can go to if I have questions.
.
They really liked to be around the dogs and the dogs loved the extra attention and cuddles they received.
.
We went on a hike in the area where I was able to get this shot.
As they run some repost-accounts it is easy for them to get good content to post and quite an eye opener that it took roughly 5 hours hike to get a decent – this – picture.
I was also able to show them how fast the light changes for these pictures… the first day we were a bit late and missed good shots by about 10 minutes and the second day @kaihu_und_hadez got the perfect light at this spot… too bad Frank decided against the moody for the brighter picture.
When it was Ninja’s turn the sun had already moved a bit and the amazing rim light was no longer as bright.
.
Afterwards I spend quite a few hours to select, edit these pictures… as they were already headed home.
.
There is not always good light, sometimes you just miss it by minutes.
.
Hope the next time won’t take as long 😊😊
.
Btw I am still catching up with messages, I always do that in order to not lose oversight. But as soon as I answered 20 I have 10 new ones, so I need a bit more time… Catching up is slow… Thank You for your patience…
