We have been visiting our friend @kaihu_und_hadez in Switzerland, where we met with Ninja’s beautiful son Hadez ( left ).
.
We also met our friends Christian and Indira who have 2 wolfdogs Lupo and Ely in Austria.
Lupo is a mid content wolfdog while Ely is a Very High Content Wolfdog. 2 years back I had the chance to get to know Lupo a bit closer and he is such a great dog.
Ely is extremely beautiful, especially now as he matures… but tbh I really have respect of him ^^
Maybe one day I’ll have to visit them a bit longer to get to know Lupo and Ely… and their humans a bit more.

I missed to meet them at the weekend because I had so much to do 😐 Slowly the mountain of work on my desk is leaving me a bit more room… maybe in a few weeks we can meet again.

Been working on my media kit again losing myself in details… 1/10 of a milimeter everything must be perfectly arranged ^^
Butits for the best… pretty sure I’ll have it done tonight 💪

Oh when Frank returned from Austria with his dogs I had spent a lot of time with Ninja… doing some hikes in the area… and when Hadez came to greet me, Ninja got inbetween us two 😁 the first time that he said,“Go away! This one is mine…“
It is the first time I saw him jealous… 💕 I was actually touched by it 😊

All these legal hurdles in Germany kept me busy the past days. There is a lot of positive stuff going on – behind the scenes – right now.
There are a lot of things you have to keep in mind when you grow to a certain following in Germany.
Pettifogging lawyers just wait for a chance to send cease and desist letters.
There has been a court rule that implies that any person with a large following (> 50k ) mebtioning anothet person/brand/location/tag has to be considered as an advert and as such needs to be labeled as one.
The court thinks the average user does not know that some people, influencers, get paid for what they do on Instagram.
It does not matter if you did get paid, a free product… but also if you did not get paid at all ^^
So, if I as private person, that Brand XYZ ( I hope it does not exist as this is just an example ^^ ) is a cool thing and mention that in my post I do that only to get the brands attention and thus need to label it as an ad… no money has been paid or no products have been exchanged.
Due to the large Following evetything I mention is an ad and as such needs to be labeled so…
This is why many German People begin their post with „Werbung // Ad“.
Since you also have to create a business when you even receive a single product as well as have an ad on your website, this also needs to be registered first… then comes the tax office and also the „Chamber of Crafts“ that open their hands 👉💰
For every step forward it seems to lead two steps back. It robs time that I would prefer to spend on pictures and videos but it needs to be done.

Anyway, this is just an info to what is going on behind the scenes… no worries, I will get this all sorted out.It just takes a while 😊😊

Wanted to make a with all commands Ninja knows… it must be like 40… so it turned out to be somewhat boring.
Then I recorded this new video and struggled for 2 hours to get that weird green tint from Ninjas forehead… until I lost patience and simply slapped a standard free GoPro LUT ( color filter for videos ).
.
I still like the video, love how willing Ninja follows these commands 😊
.
About one scene you are going to wonder… I taught Ninja to show his teeth and go forward when you blow in his face 😁😁
He is not ever going to bite… but the faces are priceless when people ask „He is soooooo cute! What else can he do?“ „Oh try to blow in his face!“ 😁😁

Again this is just a visual thing… so no worries 😊

I love action shots… especially with all paws above the ground.
Ninja does not always jump.like that you need a real obstacle to make him jump.
.
Glad that I managed it here… even using a manual focus lens. My good old 46 year old #Helios44
I did it old school and pre-focussed like 30 cm in front of the log.
Then he only had to jump 2-3-5 times to get it right No, I think this was the first jump actually, because he is still super motivated 😁 the second try would be at half the speed and height 😁

By the way. I hope you like the live-videos. Yesterday I tried to cover the basics of the training I usually do with Ninja. We did this marker training for 2 years each evening for 5 minutes. You can see that Ninja really enjoys it as „having fun“ is one of our main goals with it. There are lots of good videos about „positive reinforcement: and „marker training“ out there.

Throwbackthursday!

I have so many favorite pictures, so I always feel awkward to point out that a picture is my favorite.
But if I had to choose 20 pictures this would probably be among them… I always try to sort them, depending on their purpose.
I’d probably find a good reason to put this one in.
I think he does look quite wolfy – yes, for a husky. I never claimed he would look like a mid- or higher content wolfdog.
His legs are close together, the eyes are squinted, his muzzle looks long and more V-shaped than usual. He looks intense and I love the grass in front of him which seems to give the picture a bit more authenticity, comparable to a „random encounter in the woods“-look, which I really love.
Maybe it is because I want somehow to have such an encounter…
A wolf, at the other side of the glade, a quick curious glance, eyes locking onto each other, then the wolf vanishes into the bushes…
With a good 200 wolves in Germany, mostly on the other side, it is very unlikely to happen though…

I have been a busy bee 🐝
.
Often when I start working on something I forget everything around me and put all my focus on that single task. Without distractions I get into a „flow“ and can get a mountain of work done.
This is really an important ability, as I also excel at heaping up mountains of work 🚜🏔
.
At some point I feel a wet nose on my arm and I welcome the distraction and realize that I need to give Ninja some attention 🤗🐺 and food… and walkies… and cuddles…
.
Afterwards it feels as if you have replenished your energy… and notice details you missed before.
.
I recall how my boss was against having a dog in the office, at first.
But then everyone noticed this effect…
The dog also had a very positive effect with customers. Often the first minutes were dedicated to things people heard about Huskies or to the customer’s own dogs. The atmosphere became relaxed and you could concentrate on the business at hand.
.
This basically happens wherever I go with Ninja, too… People basically say – usually – the very same sentences. But that is good as it allows me to engage in conversation.

This is what happens to unsuspecting victims. Ninja sat next to Frank and waited for his chance.
Ninja has a large tongue and is very quick with it. I could fill a whole album with people underestimating Ninja’s urge to cover face and mouth (if you do not close it) with love 🐺👅🤗
One of his nicknames is „Chief Quicktongue“

Ninja does not give up easily as you can see on the third picture… if he can’t reach your face he’ll kiss your throat.
.
I knew what Ninja was up to and innocently waited for the chance to get these pictures 😁

We will be busy all day so expect more from us tomorrow 😊

The crackling fire 🔥
Even as a kid I was fascinated by fire… loved to go to summer camp and sit by the fire… and just stared into the dancing flames. I loved the sound and the smell…
.
Now that the days shorten and the evenings become longer I still love to sit at the fireplace and stare into the red hot embers. While the back is still in the grasp to the chil you feel the warmth on your face… slowly spreading over the body and warming the room.
I am not a fan of an overheated home, prefer it cool… but the warmth of a fireplace is somehow even for me, very comfortable.
.
I posed Ninja directly at the fire, but even now he prefers the cool tiles… I love him in front of the fireplace though… basically his silhouette only visible while his shadows dance on the wall…
The picture was a long exposure and Ninja managed to lay still for these 6 seconds ❤ That took quite a few of attempts though 😁😁 So glad I trained Ninja well.

Afterwards Ninja was cozy warm, it felt nice to hug him and sucking up the scent of „chien avec feu“ (dog with fire 🐺🔥👃)

I love fall…. and this is one of my favorite fall pictures. No colorful green – yellow – red leaves…
No ripe fruits, no dog hidden in a pile of leaves… just Ninja and the fog… with all the „Tristesse“ that accompanies the weather… music full of melancholy… but there is also a crackling fire that warms your cheeks and the hot coffee or tea to warm up after the hike through the cold…
This is the moment when you can colorful describe the random encounter with „the wolf“ you met in the woods…

This is what I think about, when I imagine to be in this picture… I guess that is different for everyone.
.
5 years ago, when I met Ninja for the first time I’d never have expected the impact Ninja had on my life… I had my previous husky, who was nearly 18 years old and would surely not survive another winter. I had withdrawn from people, tried to avoid everyone. A „hello!“ In the supermarket was pretty much all I said, during a week. I saw an ad for Ninja, his owner had passed away… The text was totally without emotion „this is lazy Ninja, he eats and drinks good!“ The picture was bad… I had no idea how beautiful Ninja was… but I loved the shape of his head and his submissive ears… he was so cute… it was almost unbearable to not have him with me…
So I sat down and wrote the most sincere letter from deep within my ❤… I’d probably be totally embarrassed if I re-read it today… It worked… Apparently I have a similar character as the previous owner and that is why I was chosen for Ninja…
