Just a normal day… sometimes it is difficult to write something… usually on our morning walk I get a lot of ideas about topics to cover… but after I am done editing pictures – and found a decent one to publish – all the topics seem forgotten.
I simply like to start typing and find it interesting where the text leads to.
When it leads to nothing I tend to skip the day…
A better approach would probably be to have a reservoir of questions that I can answer a bit more thorough as I do during direct messages.

This picture was taken using the #minolta 135mm f2.8 Ninja looks a lot broader than using the 50mm lens I usually take the pictures with. It is more than 45 years old and manual focus… I am always amazed by its pictures.
Fog, backlight, rimlight, warm evening light,… really love these shots…

When I saw this picture I immediately thought it would be perfect for #tongueout Tuesday.
.
Even more so than usual Ninja is looking to stay close to me.
He started sleeping in the bed, even if it is just for a nap 😊
I am not so much a fan of having a dog sleeping in the bed, but apparently he needs it right now.
An hour or 2 later he will leave the bed… it is basically the time I do not dare to move 😁
No bad conscience to push the GF aside when her elbow lands on my nose or wake her if she snores 😪 ( maybe that is why this spot is currently not taken 😁😂 ) but for Ninja I’ll endure the most awkward sleeping position as long as I must, even if it means to have his paw in my face.
I am sure you can relate…

Wonder if he is a bit jealous, or if he sees this VIP treatment… I sometimes hand him a snack or give him a tiny piece of Frank’s delicious apple cake…
Right now he has to share affection with @kaihu_und_hadez and Rojia… and he gets an extra bit because he is always the closest. 😊

Last week when we met @izzy_the_half_husky – I’ll upload a video later – it was evident that autumn had already started
Storm, falling leaves in the background.
Love the foggy days… and its ability to swallow all the sound. To me these are the most beautiful days of fall…
Also the dogs undergo a change…
The languishment of the summer days has passed and been replaced by the urge to dash and race around like mad. It seems as if the forest is full of new scents and they must be sniffed all anew 🐺💨🍁🍃

Always, the night before I leave the house for a trip I synch all files on a portable hdd. In case of fire I would have a backup of all the 61000 pictures…
The Western Digital @wdcreators hdd drive is just horrible… often the copying slows down or halts for some time, even with bg tasks disabled… it took 9 hours to copy 3000 of the 61000 pictures and as such I do not have many good pictures with me right now. This is so annoying… Does anyone have a better solution?

On the other hand I have the urge to provide new compelling shots for you 😊😊
.
We started the day by having a long walk along the hills and then we had a little nap 😴
Frank was a busy bee and cooked a very good tomato soup and baked delicious focaccia bread 😋🍲🍞
Afterwards I look through the shots I had with me, to provide you with a picture. 2 weeks ago I made a live video during the sunset at the riverside. This is where I took this picture 😊

Imagine you see this gorgeous person on the other side of the street… you can’t help it, but you are just mesmerized and no longer notice anything around you… I believe it is what happened here ^^

I was taking pictures as the female passed by… I did not want to have Ninja dashing over – and possibly scare owner and dog – so I put our large reflector in between 😀
Ninja obeyed the stay command but in a creative way… never noticed this kind of behaviour before 😁

Did I miss any Ninjas? What is Your favorite Ninja? Do your dogs have creative ways of dealing with your commands?

Ninjas speciality is, I am not in the kitchen… these are just my paws…

The past week has been pretty busy… we had many appointments and many problems to face. At least it drove me to take a step that I had avoided to take for a long time .
Last Friday we met in the city #Mainz with @josie_veganfit
Being in the city is always exhausting, meeting people is exhausting ( even though I enjoy it ) and all the appointments are exhausting… travelling is exhausting… so yeah I needed a few days of rest without instagram, without facebook, without internet… 📵 just took Ninja and went for some nice hikes.
.
People often wonder what is going on, because everything related to human interaction is exhausting… I am still awaiting a proper diagnosis, but there is strong evidence that I have Asperger syndrome, a type of autism…
Note that I did not write „suffer“… to me some forms of interaction are exhausting.
Many people feel lonely when they are alone, I cherish these moments and do not even mind longer periods of being alone…
.
With Ninja at my side, who communicates clearly, everything seems so much better.
He makes it easy for me to go to crowded places, to travel… a woman talked to me at the train station today. Had I been alone I would probably just have turned around and moved away without saying a word ^^
.
So I spend a lot of time with Ninja over the past week, who definitely enjoyed the surplus attention and time I had for him 😊😊
This is what You can see here… we have been at the riverside of the river Rhein//Rhine and spent several hours together 😊😊
We trained our old commands, as Ninja had begun to be a bit rusty 🙍🔊🐺⁉
While we were in Mainz we got to meet @izzy_the_half_husky who is such a sweet dog Ninja was totally crazy about her.
I will upload a story video as we arrive at @kaihu_und_hadez later today.

Can someone explain the differences between emotional support animals, therapy dog, service dog? I am sure Ninja serves as one of these… of course without training or certifications… how would You classify him, considering what you k ow about us?

Let’s go on! 🐺🙋🏞

Yesterday we had a long hike. Following our stories, you were able to take part 😊
.
As usually we joined our friends for the morning packwalk in the Uhlerborn forest, before we split up and I continued to the floodplains at the river Rhein.
Then we followed a hidden path to the riverside and strolled towards the Budenheim Ferry.
We met some nice dogs and Ninja spend some time dashing around with a labrador at the beach.
.
While hiking back home we stopped to make many pictures, one of them You can see here.
.
The hike took 5:30h and – honestly – it was a bit much for me… It has been 2 months since I left the hospital, but still struggle with my lungs when I push myself to the limit.
I became slower and Ninja looked at me like „Let’s go on!“
He really enjoyed the day and we both slept well as we returned… I wanted to make a post but almost fell asleep while doing so…
I was exhausted, but not in a bad way, I enjoyed to test my limits and to make it an exciting day for Ninja.

Ninja really enjoyed to return to the riverside for an extended hike… we sat at my favorite spot and watched ducks and swans passing by…

Here is the picture I took from the live video at the second location.

It was quite late to go shoot. The bright, direct sunlight would have resulted in harsh shadows and burnt out highlights.
.
We took away the bad harsh sun light by posing Ninja in the shadows and adding good light via a reflector, lighting Ninja up.
.
You get the advantage of direct light… e.g. squinted – thus almond shaped wolfy eyes – and brighing them up as his amber eyes appear a lot brighter.
.
I dropped some leftover treats on the ground… and Ninja lifted his head right up, after eating them, looking even more wolfy in the process.
.
I just love this facial expression… and the lighting.
.
Today I tried some new shots using a vaporizer… but I am not yet happy with the results…
What I could do with is some help trying some of these shots… Send us a DM 📝 if you are willing to visit us and want to either:
