To me life seems so dull without Ninja… maybe it is because the only thing worse being in hospital is being at the hospital at weekends…. fewer staff… empty rooms… it seems abandoned and as if you are the person left behind… left to starve… the food is soooo incredible horrible. You cannot choose, and at supper we got bloodsausage with bits of tongue… I mean, food is important and I think a hospital should have lots of fruits and vegetables… general quality food… but this is really the worst I have eaten in the past 15 years.

Hopefully the examination on Monday will go well so I can leave this place on Tuesday.

Maybe I am just moody, because I miss Ninja so much. He is doing well at @kaihu_und_hadez with the pack (send him some 💞) and I can hopefully cuddle him soon… I’ll even endure the facelicks, till he wants no more 😁😁

I took this picture in the forest… there were a lit of shadows and a bright spot… so I used a high f stop and even underexposed Ninja a bit. This turned the background black 😊😊 .
Wish You all a happy week-end… I can’t reply well at the hospital, can’t use the phone everywhere, but I do read your messages…

Ninja is at a friend right now, who is taking care of him, while I am in the hospital…

Today Frank comes all the way from Switzerland to pick up Ninja and visit me 💕 and I do appreciate this a lot… you could head to @kaihu_und_hadez and show him some love 💞
Afterwards I’ll have to take things really really really slow.

No worries and I am out of danger and in good hands. Therapy is going well… Next influenza I will not just brush away…

Intensive Care 😷🗂

If You recall I was sick and declined to go to the doc.
.
I struggled since then with an shortage of breath… but could not visit the doc… I have trouble calling people, meeting people, going new places… So i prefer e.g. to walk with an broken arm instead getting it fixed. It is stupid, i know but it shows just how difficult this is for me.
Same with my pneumonia, no sane person would avoid going to the doc… I did… I never fully recovered and last week I could not walk 10y without getting out of breath… again I avoided the doc… but it worsened over the weekend… The doc instantly sent me to the hospital… not sure how I can post as I forgot the charger… so I have nothing to read, listen to or watch…
And the actual grumpy Monday picture I wanted to post today rests on my pc… hope you like it anyhow…
There is no need to worry, I am in good hands 😊😊

It is quite hot during the day and we spend most of the time inside. Ninja naps most of the time and when you come with the camera you get this sceptical glance.
He seems to be evaluating what I am up to… if he needs to get up or if he can continue to nap.
I might also be ready to take him out… maybe I am thinking to much into it and this face means „%$#@ Where is the cheese?“ 😀😀

In his right eye, left on the picture, you can see a dot… this is where Ninja was injured a couple of years ago.
A tiny thorn pierced the eye and he stitches to get the hole sewed. While the dot is on the iris, and the piercing was above… it happened at the same time.
I am so glad that I wasted no time and pressured the vet to get back to his office for the surgery.
Ninja has so pretty eyes would hate if something happened to them… I looked close even with macro lenses but it all healed away… the little dot is the only leftover sign.

I know this series is not very picturesque series, but you can see various stages of „I do not want that!“ in Ninja.

This happened after a walk at the parking lot, Ninja found a ball.
.
1) Ninja who does not care for balls likes this one because Nikhita likes it… all his attention is on the ball.
.
2) Nikhita comes and claims interest… Ninja says no, by covering it with his paw… „mine!“
.
3) Nikhita comes closer… Ninja tries to evade by putting the ball away from her.
.
4) Nikhita says „I could get it if I wanted it!“ Ninja claims otherwise.
.
5) Ninja enforces his claims… mine mine, mine!
.
6) Nikhita says:“I am not afraid! See I could just take it!“ Ninja replies „Try!“
.
7) Nikhita did not want to fight over the ball and Ninja gave it to her a few min later 😁

Heat Stroke – what’s the big deal?
There are a lot of posts warning dog owners to be careful in the hot weather, but still there are dogs being exercised at inappropriate times of the day. When the weather is as hot as it is, as suddenly as it is, it may even be inappropriate to exercise your dog at all. Why does everyone make such a fuss about dogs getting too hot? Clearly there are far too many owners who don’t understand the importance of the warnings. The fact is, excess heat can all too easily be fatal – yes fatal – your dog will die. Not just die, they will die a particularly horrible death. In all the many warnings and articles that are around there doesn’t seem to be any description of the process of heatstroke and how it actually causes a dog to die. Well maybe they should, because perhaps then owners would be a bit more serious in their efforts to protect their dogs.

If you are of an easily offended disposition, don’t continue reading. However, if you are of an easily offended disposition and still take your dog out in the heat then continue reading and be offended but educated. You have been warned.
Today a dog died of severe heat stroke – exercised at 9 o’clock in the morning. If it was a child, the parents would be convicted of man slaughter and sent to prison. The long coated dog was being exercised in the local park at 9am this morning – it was already 21°C. The owners where throwing a ball for the dog. Our loyal faithful friends will still pander to our requests of going with us for a walk or fetching the ball thrown even when they are under extreme stress of excessive heat. They don’t know to self regulate, because their pack leader has instructed them to walk with them or chase a ball etc. … continued in the comments …

This picture was taken home in a home-studio… basically on my bed with a black cover and a black backdrop.
If you remember the videos of Ninja with Fox Leotie, or Ninja, Smilla and Leotie eating an egg… it was the same setup.
As I do not have a flash I used 3 1000watt lights… one from each side and one from the top.
They are rather cheap ways to get bright clear daylight for dark rooms like this one 😁😁
Wish I could afford a @rotolight because they are quite awesome. .
Today is throwback Thursday. I usually skip these special themed posts. Hence I wondered, do you open Instagram and think, oh today there will be great older shots of my favorite accounts… lets see the tongues of the dogs I adore, etc? I mean do you actually expect or want tag related posts, are you indifferent to it, or do you say like… nice the 51st tongue I see today!
I do not mean to sound negative, I am just genuinely interested because I do not understand it. Maybe you can help shed some light to it 😊😊

Btw this is one of my very favorite shots and I have been hiding it for 7 months… just did not know when to post it, so I did today.

We were allowed to test some stuff. You have seen pictures together with Ninja’s son Hadez (@kaihu_und_hadez ) and another one with smoke, further down the feed. Be sure to check them out… they are easy to find with the black background.

Germany is playing football right now and I am taking the chance to go to the forest… forest? Yeah, I love it when the streets and paths are totally without people 😁😁 and that usually happens only during championships.
Have not seen a single match, yet.

Ninja is not the dog that likes to snuggle up to other dogs.
.
When a dog comes too close he would get up and seek a different sleeping spot.
.
When we have a guest dog, as e.g. Nikhita Wolfspirit, we have 3 sleeping beds for the 2 dogs inside, plus one at the entrance away from the action if a dog wants to withdraw and one outside… so Nikhita could have chosen 4 spots away from Ninja, but chose to lay next to him.
Ninja who would usually prefer his own space did not mind having Nikhita close.
.
That is what I like on Ninja… Nikhita needed company – she missed her pack after all – and Ninja chose to put her needs over his own.
