My camera dropped on the ground… 📷🏞💥
I carried it on a strap when the snaphook broke and the camera dropped on the asphalt… I am really frustrated…

Next week I want to go visit Frank (@kaihu_und_hadez ) and without a camera I will be really bummed…

Not sure how and if it can get fixed… bummer…

Well I still have enough pictures to last years 😁😁 after all I managed to capture a good 219367 shots with my trusty @sony

After the good news yesterday, I was encouraged and finally got around to work on privacy policy and related issues on my site.
I procrastinated this for months now 😁😁
At around 4:00 am I was done…

I slept longer this morning and it was already warm when we went for our morning hike.
To have plenty of chances for Ninja to cool off we decided to spend the day at the riverside 🌞🐺🏞

Got so many things done these days, which makes me happy.

Yesterday evening I made 2 live-videos, explaining the setup for this picture.
.
Shooting against the sun requires you to make compromises… either you expost for the foreground, burning out the background… or exposing for the background and getting a silhouette-like dark motif…
.
You can make it easier by using a lightsource to light your motif. I used a reflector here… other options would be to use a flash or permanent light like e.g. the @rotolight
When you want to take a picture of a moving dog flash will most likely not recharge fast enough.
Not sure how good the rotolight really is, maybe I get to test it one day. Watching Jason Laniers videos it must be quite amazing.

We had a pretty successful day. I can’t go much into details here, but we made some giant leaps.
I was really happy and chose to reward Ninja with an especially long hike.
The nature at the overgrown dam is exploding with live. The trees dropped their blossoms and the cherries are alrealy fingernail big and green.
I just had to make the 100th, most likely 1000th, shot at this spot.
Ninja loved to roam the dam while I watched the ships pass.
We continued to #budenheim where we watched the ferries dock and returned over the meadows and the forest home.
The 15km took us a good 4.5 hours… to me it is important to enjoy the places we visit and not just to rush through.

I played a lot of Frostpunk (a game where you have to make the least awful decision to keep your people alive in an postapocalyptic winter) and watched TBBT while on the PC… which resulted in the most hilarious dreams last night. I woke up several times chuckling and was eager to dream on.

We are finally back from our trip in #schwollen where we visited our long tine friend Hajo for a couple of days.
It is a lower mountain region with many woods… As we do not have any fir trees here, I tried to get some Ninja-fir tree shots.
This picture has been taken on the meadows above the village.

As you can see we had a lot of fun time with those evening walks during sunset.
Love the cute face Ninja shows here as if he was saying „I am soooooooo cute, am I not?“

We had a great day… for about 2 or 3 years we have sheep right behind the house… over winter the sheep had been taken into the shed.
We have been expecting them to come back any day… but today I noticed that all of the fences have been removed and took the opportunity to capture some pictures.
Ninja loved dashing around in the sun but got tired quickly due to the warmth 27°C/80°F so I created a den with the reflector and tripod where I made the live video.

Isn’t it beautiful how the greens sprout inbetween the yellows… and even the #squirrel come for a visit (swipe).

We had the first real warm day and I told Ninja „no worries, just a few months and we will have autumn 🌳🍃🍂“

We are really not made for this weather, should ptobably move to Canada or Scandinavia 😁😁
.
Today we bought a lot of frozen turkey necks and chicken legs. They are real nice when it is too warm outside. After thawing 30 minutes I will give them to Ninja as ice cream. He loves that.
.
I should probably start to brush him now, he does still have most of his winter coat… lots of long guard hair and huge amounts of undercoat… I just dislike his „naked“ summer look…

This picture has been taken with my 46 year old #helios44 lens
I am simply in love with its look…
Its only disadvantage is the manual focus. With a model like Ninja a non-issue. It does even have some sense of accomplishment when you get a shot right.

We have typical april weather… cold/rain/warm/sun/stormy/calm taking its turn a multiple times each day 🌞⛆🌬⛈
.
It is sometimes not easy for me to go out, but I noticed it is much better when I am listening to something. In my youth I listened to audioplays and I am enjoying listening to them again. Espexially the Perry Rhodan ones… the most successful science fiction series… since 1961 they publish a booklet each week, almost 3000 of them, 200 000 pages… 2 billion copies sold worldwide…
No I am not getting paid or sponsored, just find it funny that most of you pribably never heard of it 😁
Hollywood should pick that up at some time… until then I have 150ish 15hour audioplays to listen to 😁😁
When I am done with that I can switch to John Sinclair a ghost hunter, which has been published weekly since 1973 😁😁
It is so much more fun, when you sit at some spot and can just tune out for 30 minutes… you can also pretend bot to hear passerbys when you are not in the mood.

We have another beautiful spring day… I wanted to spend it at the riverside at our favorite spot at the dam.
So we did for some time, until I noticed a hidden path at the riverside…
I must have come here for 10 years now without taking notice. It was refreshing to follow this path… Ninja also loved kept curiously sniffing around and took his time…

Slowly, I am feeling better… hardly any coughing. I do still get exhausted quite fast, so we returned by train 😊
