We started early this morning.. I read a quote today that made me long to spend the day with Ninja at my side.

We started to travel to the post office ( hah, what better use is there for a husky 😀 ) by scooter.
People were gathering – we were in a different village than usual – around us… it is always weird to get stared at, like that.

Then we went to the river, which was still flooded. I like to sit at the dam and watch the ships pass by, especially when the sun warms your back 🌞🌡😊
We headed to the forest instead, there is always a nice sunny spot.

The last days I mentioned how well Ninja poses like a supermodel.
Often I place Ninja at his spot before I start unpacking camera and tools. I do that because often his pose will look more natural because of minute shifts while waiting.
.
During the misty morning wet grass and leaves were warmed in the sun and started evaporating a mist… you could see it on storypictures I had posted these days how e.g. the roof of the hut in a forest vapored mist.
.
The same principle is behind this picture. Ninja stood in the sun ray and started vaporizing mist. Loved this moment… and Ninja apparently, too…

This morning we were live in our #lennebergwald to demonstrate how well and long Ninja can hold poses.
.
Nearly each day we are out there taking pictures, for almost 5 years now. I recall how difficult the first tries had been… nevertheless, we kept training… those first steps, first seconds to get your dog to pose are the most difficult ones.
But we kept at it. I led him back to his target spot countless times… and eventually we saw improvement.
Now I can put Ninja pretty much anywhere and he will stay even with distractions… like Hadez or Smilla nibble at Ninja’s throat while he poses 😊
When I was in the German Army Aviation Forces, my flight instructor asked a lot of me and he often brought me in difficult situations to learn to cope with them, nothing would suprise me and I was a lot more perceptive than fellow officers.
This is why I always ask a lot of Ninja, why I give him difficult tasks to do… like going heel with Smilla trying to pull him away, biting his throat and legs 😊😊
How can else can a dog learn to cope with difficult situatiins if you do not bring him in any?? Ofc you cannot ask too much at once, but – to get back to the topic – if you never practice the posing because it ’never works‘ it will not become better 😊

A tiny bit or moning mist wad available and a bright blue sky.
.
I have been sick all night with shivers and vertigo, but I knew I had to get out to capture some of the light wr had this morning.
It was pretty difficult to deal with this but fortunately Ninja was very cooperative today.
I have not gone through all captures since I dropped back into the bed right afterwards… about an hour and a half ago I started to look at some of the shots and did some quick edits…
It is not easy on pictures with backlight, taken against the sun to get a good edit and sometimes I struggle for weeks before I am getting happy with an edit (yeah I am that finicky).
I knoe I messed some pictures up because I was not feeling well and I am dissatisfied that I did not get my usual output out of this great chance.
.
It is already late and I need to decide now to skip a day orr show you this not so perfect edit… I really hope you like it anyhow 😀
It is also part of being authentic and not just overplay this with a nice shot from another day.

Thank you very much for your continued support and notifications about the usage of my pictures on other sites and feeds. Actually, I spend a half an hour to an hour a day getting these pictures removed, alone yesterday I had about 20 DMCA takedowns initialized.

I stopped writing these sites as their ignorance about their theft is making me angry. In my opinion, it is really nice of me, to not go after them with the full power of the law and b content with initializing a DMCA takedown procedure.

The law is on my side, if you use my pictures without my permission it is copyright infringement, it is that easy.

People ask me all the time if they can use a picture on their feed, as Phone background or desktop background and often I let them, even send it in a better resolution.

Some people just scrape everything from Instagram, spread these pictures without permission or attribution and have not the tiniest bit of bad conscience about it.

If I was caught red-handed stealing content, I would apologize and hope there would be no cease and desist letter coming, or even worse license fees and damages. But some of them are like “I should be happy that they use my pictures!” Yeah, I should be happy that they use my pictures, use them without consent, without attribution, that they try to grow their account, or even sell their merchandise.

People have no clue how much work and sacrifices are behind all this. Today for example, I got up at 7:00 and started to leave the house early so I could make this picture with the morning sun… we did 12km to get to this location and spent a good 3 hours on this one picture. Then I came back home edit the shot and try not to get sick, since the “shortcut” left me with wet cold feet in the Rhine 😀
.
I am not living of Instagram and do not earn a cent with all this to keep this ad-free… sure I love to spend so much time outside with Ninja. However, this means a financial cut that hurts. I do not have a car, the next camera, lens or even light is not affordable.

We wish You a good start into the week. We hoped for some dry weather, or even some sun, but it is supposed to rain all week.
What a bummer… we’ll not let us spoil the day because of it… why become annoyed with things that you cannot change.
The good thing is that we can just cuddle in in our cozy warm home 😀 Maybe we will even get some things done we have put off.

Things could have been so good today… During our Nightwalk I noticed that it was becoming misty and decided to get up early to see if we would get good light…
.
At 7:30 the forecast predicted „fog till noon, bright blue sky“…
When the sun starts to burn through the morning mist, it is possible to get fantastic light rays.
.
I was eager to go shoot… indeed it did, at first, look promising… The sun lit up parts of the fores, but then dense fog descended and it got dark… I waited for 2 hours, but it was became apparent that the sun would not make it today.
.
At least we had a fun time and I captured some foggy pictures.
.
If you haven’t noticed I love to be able to frame Ninja between trees 😁
He looks so focussed and I love the length of his nose on this picture.
.
As reward for the early outdoor activity I made some pancakes… Oh… they were delicious 😁😁

Ninja likes to go to the floodplains and today as we passed the train station he signaled again that he would like to go there.
.
I thought it would be nice to make some pictures at the riverside, some „actionshots“ as we did not have them in a while.
.
As we arrived I noticed that everything was under water – haha hard to miss, right?
.
It was really impressive as the river is still a good 200-300m away from the dam, yet the road leading to the port was underwater and the floodplains were underwater…
.
With Actionshots at the riverside out of question I remembered the loads of messages asking/wondering if Ninja is actually having fun, because he does look so serious.
.
These photos are moments, they show 0.0000011574 of a day…
It really depends on how I want to present Ninja… serious, majestic, powerful, dashing (like literally), goofy… I have this strong preferance for the serious face with closed mouth… so I TRAINED Ninja to stop what he is doing, to look at me and close his mouth… it lasts about a second and in that second I will get a serious face… or when ever he observes something.
.
Ninja was distracted, from one side we had an Irish Wolfhound coming and on the other side there was a boat at ther dam, where usually cars drive… it fascinated him…
.
But you can see in this video that he has the typical playful/goofy husky character and does have indeed fun to show off what he can do 🙂

Yesterday was pretty exhausting for Ninja. We decided to take it easy today and went shopping treats ( live video ). It is a welcome change from our usual routine.

Ninja is tends to be unruly, not on purpose, when he has a lot of energy and it was nice to see that Ninja was very attentive and eager to please. In my opinion as a result of yesterdays adventure. He seems so happy and content now… I need to do that more often.
