Today was one of these days. However, it was simply too warm… I had an appointment in the city and thought I could combine that with a nice hike along the lakes and through the orchards.

The stormy weather is over. Finally the sun broke through the clouds to cover the riverside in a spectacular evening light.

In case you have not heard, there are still many places in Germany underwater. Like usually, here in Heidesheim (Mainz), we have been spared the worst of it.

Taking a picture during the Golden Hour
One thing that I find awfully difficult to edit are pictures taken during the Golden Hour… In a nutshell cameras guess what is the color white of a picture and based on this guess calculate all the remaining colors.
Where is the leash?
As I was sitting at the riverside, taking pictures of Ninja he laid down a few steps away… He looked at me… so regal, so sovereign and I felt like having the most beautiful companion in the world… isn’t he amazing? He stood up and was eagerly awaiting a command.
