Ninja and the Horses …
Today we had a fun encounter … An electric fence and very calm horse means Ninja gets bored quite fast and that is what made this encounter so invaluable … Ninja, „Horses are boring, right good boy!“ …
Horses are boring!
First time „back with obstacle“, outside.
Ninja always tries to avoid obstacles when going back. Usually by sitting at its side instead. So I taught him to go „straight back“ even with obstacle and this is our first outdoor try … the little tree at first. Notice how funny he moves his paws? 😀
Then he does the „I’ll rather sit here instead“ avoidance again. So lovely that he tried anyhow … and the last attempt was quite good actually ♥

Siberian Husky prey dummy training
The previous video, our first outdoor Training, showed that Ninja was still too distracted. He did well but I decided to continue training inside a bit longer to increase accuracy. Today was our second outdoor training. It wasn’t just „throw and retrieve“, instead I ran around all over the place and hid the prey dummy from Ninja.
As you can see he enjoys this training and for me that is really the only thing that matters … He gets a friendly „no“ (there is no negative touch with it) to correct his behaviour and there is encouragement for a good completion. He appears to be enjoying the game.

Happy Birthday Ninja!
Today Ninja became 3 years old, he is slowly growing up … He got this bone as gift and carried it home proudly. The peasants glance when they saw the wolfy dog with this huge bone in his mouth was priceless …

Tamaskane zu Besuch
Auf der Suche nach einem Nachfolger für Akiak habe ich mich auch für die Tamaskane interessiert. Tamaskane, in der Kurzfassung, sind wölfisch aussehende Hunde die als Familienhund geeignet sein sollen. Also genau das was ich gesucht habe.
Nun hatte ich die Gelegenheit diese wunderbaren Tiere selbst kennenzulernen.
