Oh Joy! Fresh Snow! Again!

Is there anyrhing more beautiful than a hike through fresh snow? All noises are muffled, it is almost silent if it wasn’t for the creaking of the boots in the snow.

Ninja loves the snow… it started in the morning and I decided to delay our morning walk a bit to give snow more time to cover the landscape.
.
It snowed so hard, that the camera had issues with focus if Ninja was further than 4-5yards away… focus jumped back and forward trying to focus on the flakes. I lost a large amount of pictures to that sadly.
I had already expected that though…
As a quick fix I closed the aperture, from 1.8 to 2.8-4 depebding on the intensity of the snowfall…

I chose this picture, because You can see how well Siberian Huskies are made for snow.
It was not really cold and snow melted immediately on my jacket and on our Australian Dingo Smilla… She was soaked wet and cold, while Ninja was covered with snow… the snow did not melt because Ninjas fur insulates body warmth from the outside.

On a sidenote: I got a new cellphone contract with 15 times the pityful traffic I had before… expect more live videos!

Oh one more question… If I posted pictures of Leotie (the fox) here – additional to the ‚daily Ninja‘ – would you mind that? Would like that?

@kito.and.remus yeah… we often hike with non-huskies so it is pretty obvious… Smilla is a mountain-dingo mix… so she is supposed to be better adapted to the cold than other dingoes… but there is still a world of difference to a husky
