Even as a kid I was fascinated by fire… loved to go to summer camp and sit by the fire… and just stared into the dancing flames. I loved the sound and the smell…

Now that the days shorten and the evenings become longer I still love to sit at the fireplace and stare into the red hot embers. While the back is still in the grasp to the chil you feel the warmth on your face… slowly spreading over the body and warming the room.
I am not a fan of an overheated home, prefer it cool… but the warmth of a fireplace is somehow even for me, very comfortable.

I posed Ninja directly at the fire, but even now he prefers the cool tiles… I love him in front of the fireplace though… basically his silhouette only visible while his shadows dance on the wall…
The picture was a long exposure and Ninja managed to lay still for these 6 seconds ❤ That took quite a few of attempts though 😁😁 So glad I trained Ninja well.

Afterwards Ninja was cozy warm, it felt nice to hug him and sucking up the scent of „chien avec feu“ (dog with fire 🐺🔥👃)
